About CGT

Who is CGT Engineering Consultant?

CGT Engineering Consultant is a civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering consultancy based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi. We support developers, contractors, consultants and asset owners from site investigation and design through construction, monitoring and handover.

Delma Laboratory is our soil and construction materials testing laboratory, located at the same address. Working together, CGT and Delma provide investigation, testing, analysis and engineering reporting under one roof, which means fewer interfaces and faster results for our clients.

We are based in Abu Dhabi and work on projects across the UAE, including all seven emirates like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman. We also handle projects in Oman.

Yes. We prepare Preliminary Environmental Reviews (PER), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and project-specific Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) in line with EAD requirements, and support clients through the environmental permit process.

Yes. As an EAD-registered Environmental Consultancy Office, we carry out independent external audits of construction projects and prepare audit reports for submission to EAD through the project proponent.

Yes. We monitor dust (PM10), noise, dewatering discharge quality and groundwater, with samples analyzed in accredited laboratories as required by the environmental permit. we can also hookup ambient air monitoring system needed for longer and continuous monitoring period.

Yes. We assess radius of influence, ground settlement and discharge for dewatering of excavations and pile caps, and recommend monitoring of nearby structures and utilities.

Yes. We predict vibration from piling, vibro compaction and other works, carry out pre-condition and post-condition surveys of neighbouring structures, and monitor vibration against BS 5228-2, BS 7385-2 or DIN 4150-3.

Yes. We plan and supervise instrumentation and monitoring programmes, including piezometers, settlement monitoring, inclinometers, and vibration monitoring, with manual or remote (cloud-based/wireless) data collection using multiple channel dataloggers.

Yes. Together with EAD-approved specialists, we survey buildings, surface debris and soil for asbestos before demolition or excavation, and can combine this with soil contamination testing.

Delma Laboratory tests soil and construction materials for site investigations, quality control and construction compliance.

How do I request a quotation?

Send your project details, drawings or scope to info@cgteng.com, or call +971 50 904 6760 / +971 2 555 3248. Include the project location, what you need (e.g. investigation, design review, CEMP or audit), and your target timeline.

For most site investigations and monitoring work, we can mobilize within 2 working days of award.

Yes. We regularly work as specialist subconsultants to main contractors, design consultants and developers, and as direct consultants to asset owners.

Yes. We carry out independent reviews of geotechnical and structural designs, including pile capacity and length optimisation, slope and revetment stability, and temporary works. A review often helps reduce cost or resolve authority comments.
